Visiting Mount Huangshan
Some of my friends and I have visited Mount Huangshan this week. Two days and one night's trip was really enjoyable, filled with laughter and fun.
Preparation of the trip
With the destination set, we started preparing for the trip. Mount Huangshan lives in Anhui Province, and it takes about two hours to get there by train from our city. So we plan a two-day trip, from Monday to Tuesday, to avoid the weekend rush. Also we avoided the peak season of tourism -- March is a good time to go out.
Selection of hotel
Even on March's weekday, the price of hotels lies on the top of Mount Huangshan is too high to be affordable for four undergraduates -- about ¥1200 per twin room. So we decided to live for one night in a hotel at the root of the mount. About ¥230 is enough to book a twin room in this season, and breakfast and shuttle bus services are provided by the hotel.
Selection of destination
Since we planed to live at the root, one-day tour for Mount Huangshan is more suitable, and we scheduled it at the second day. At the first day we would arrive at about 12:30 p.m. therefore we planed to another AAAAA-rated tourist attraction in Huangshan City, Hongcun. After visiting Hongcun, we would move to Tangkou town, the town at the root of Mount Huangshan.
Day 1
Time table
ChatGPT provides me with a concrete time table.
| Time | Action |
|---|---|
| 11:00 a.m. | Arrive at Huangshan North train station |
| 12:30 p.m. | Arrive at Hongcun |
| 1:00 p.m. | Have lunch |
| 4:00 p.m. | Finish tour in Hongcun and call a taxi to Tangkou town |
| 5:30 p.m. | Arrive at Tangkou town |
| 6:00 p.m. | Have Anhui special dishes near the hotel |
Conclusion
- For travelling in a 4-people team, it is better to call a taxi than taking travelling bus.
